FAQ's and ABOUT US
We've been flattening bottles for a long time!
It all began in 2000 with a little kiln in the utility room making pendants and dishes. Then we moved to a bigger kiln in the shed. Then from the shed to the studio and two massive kilns! Each kiln can flatten 10 wine bottles in one go. This means using a small amount of energy to flatten a lot of bottles.
Our ethical policy is simple: If we can recycle it we will. The bottles are all recycled as are the packaging materials. We source boxes from local companies so don't be suprised if your bottles turn up in a shoe box or a completely unrelated box. Shredded paper comes from a local company who shred all their used paper just for us. Bubble wrap is reused as is cardboard. We usually only buy parcel tape new for obvious reasons. Our kiln is the most efficient available and the studio is within a co-operative. We run the smallest car we could find to collect bottles and save fuel by cycling whenever practical.
ALL OUR ITEMS ARE HANDMADE AND ARE COMPLETELY UNIQUE. IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR ITEM YOU ARE WELCOME TO RETURN IT FOR A FULL REFUND ALTHOUGH WE WILL MAKE A NOMINAL CHARGE FOR POSTAGE AND PACKING ON REFUNDED ITEMS.
